This year’s J-Care Fellowship got off to a great start with a team building orientation at Tikvah House, run by Dov Pear. Fellows then organized a beautiful Chanukah bowling carnival for Jewish Caring Network families that brought together 50 kids and their families to participate in games, arts and crafts and bowling. It was an opportunity for families suffering through chronic illnesses to take their minds off their hardships and enjoy the holiday spirit. Additionally, fellows meet once a month for textual learning and guest speakers, at “Me Latte,” an upscale kosher café and bistro in downtown Baltimore. The first session included inspiring words from Rabbi Tzvi Teitelbaum of Mesorah D.C. Fellows can’t wait to be paired with JCN families so they can help light up their lives during the rest of the year.
